The Korea Baseball Softball Association (KBSA) said, “The 2023 high school baseball weekend league, co-hosted by KBSA with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will open in Cheongju, Hampyeong, Jinhae, and Daegu from the 18th.”
In the 2023 High School Baseball Weekend League, six new teams, including sports club teams Eunpyeong-gu BC, Geoje BC, Bundang BC, TNP BC, Geumgok BC, and Onyang BC, joined. Gyeongsang region A and B, Daejeon and Chungcheong regions, and Gwangju and Jeolla regions, which consist of 9 team leagues, were held earlier than other regions, allowing players to show off their skills that they have honed throughout the winter.
The 77th Golden Lion National High School Baseball Championship and Weekend League Wangjungwangjeon and the 78th Cheongryonggi National High School Baseball Championship and Weekend League Wangjungwangjeon are determined by the ranking of each region in the first half of the weekend league. The participating teams for the National High School Baseball Tournament will be confirmed.
