Former Vietnam national soccer team coach wins Pony Jung Innovation Award

The PonyJung Foundation presented the 17th PonyJung Innovation Award to Park Hang-seo, former head coach of the Vietnam national men’s soccer team, at the PonyJung Hall at iPark Tower in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

The ceremony was attended by PonyJung Foundation’s founder, Mongkyu Chung, and Mrs. Park Young-ja, wife of the late HDC Group (formerly Hyundai Industrial Development Company) Chairman Emeritus Chung Se-young, as well as the winner, Park Hang-seo.

In April, the PonyJung Foundation announced the selection of director Park Hang-seo as the recipient of the 17th PonyJung Innovation Award.

At the ceremony, Foundation Chairman Mong Kyu Chung said, “Coach Park has set new milestones in the history of Vietnamese soccer and served as a bridge between 메이저놀이터 Korea and Vietnam as a civilian diplomat.”

“His achievements as a coach of the Vietnam national soccer team are an innovation that has expanded the horizons of Korean soccer,” Chung said, “and we look forward to his future endeavors.”

In accepting the award, Park said, “I believed in myself in an unfamiliar environment and strived to pioneer a new path,” adding, “It was an uncertain challenge, but with the support of everyone in Vietnam and Korea, I was able to reach a turning point in my life.”
